Welcome to the Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation
The Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation, Association of Compassion, was founded in July of 1997. The Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization (1997-2020) dedicated to assisting Tibetan refugees who have fled their native land in view of the ever growing oppression in their lives since the People’s Republic of China’s invasion and occupation of Tibet which began in 1949.
H.H. the XIVth Dalai Lama states: "This is the worst period in our 2,000 year long history. This really is the most serious period. At this time, now, there is every danger that the entire Tibetan nation, with its own unique cultural heritage will completely disappear….The present situation is so serious that is really a question of life and death. If death occurs nothing is left."
It is our hope that through linking those in need with those willing to give we are not only helping to sustain the survival of individuals and their culture, but give life. ©1997-2020
