The Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation seeks to build direct connections between those in need and those who care. The Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation has gone to great expense to collect names of Tibetan Refugees in urgent need and aims to establish monthly support channels that can provide anything FROM basic needs to educational expenses.

For the small amount of US$30/month you can provide one Tibetan refugee with the money to cover their basic living expenses for one month.

Unlike many organizations we do not see the need to interfere with this relationship, rather we just provide the means by which you may connect and make a verifiable difference.

Many of our refugees are Buddhist nuns and monks that live according to the ancient customs of Tibetan Buddhism and are disciples of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Exiled from their native lands and resources the Tibetan people continue on with very little and rely now on the compassionate understanding of the free world.

The Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation also reaches out to laypersons forced out of Tibet who are desperate for work, shelter and food in India. Each sponsorship connection becomes a unique relationship and way of extending the concept of family from the immediate to the global and is the ultimate expression of love.

The Four Noble Steps to Becoming a Sponsor:

1. Contact the Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation with your intention to become a sponsor.
2. The Jamtse Tskopa Foundation will send you a refugee card that will include a photograph, an address, and any biographical information that may be availabe for a Tibetan refugee in critical need of sponsorship.
3. The Jamtse Tsokpa Foundation requests that after you have received the refugee card, that you direct all correspondence and your financial support to that individual directly. (This is a direct personal connection!)
4. Please send US$30/month drawn on your personal checking account or an International Bank Draft drawn on the Bank of India. The International Bank Draft can be aquired at the International Currency Desk of your local bank.
